Hondata FlashPro - 2006-2011 Honda Civic Si (8th Gen)
Planning to mod your 8th gen Civic Si? Get FlashPro first. Before you buy an intake, header, or exhaust, you need Hondata FlashPro so your ECU can actually tune for those parts. Your factory ECU's programmed for stock parts with conservative fuel and timing maps. When you bolt on aftermarket parts, your factory ECU can't adjust for them. FlashPro lets you flash custom tunes to your ECU so it runs properly with your bolt-ons. If you're modding your K20Z3, you need FlashPro.
Here's How FlashPro Works
FlashPro plugs into your OBD-II port and connects to your laptop with a USB cable. You load a tune file, flash it to your ECU, unplug FlashPro, and you're done. You're not opening your ECU, you're not soldering anything, you're not sending your ECU out to get chipped. You're flashing new software to your factory ECU through the OBD-II port. Hondata includes base maps for common Civic Si modifications like intake, header, exhaust, cams, turbo, and supercharger setups. You can flash a base map and drive, or you can take your car to a tuner and have them build you a custom tune.
Datalogging and Live Tuning
FlashPro logs over 20 hours of engine data. You drive your car, FlashPro records everything (air/fuel ratio, ignition timing, knock, boost if you're turbocharged, etc.), and you can review the logs later or send them to your tuner. If you're getting your car professionally tuned, your tuner can watch live data on their laptop while they're tuning and make adjustments in real time. That's way faster and more accurate than tuning blind.
Race vs CARB Legal Versions
Hondata makes two versions of FlashPro. FlashPro Race is for off-road and track use only. It's got full tuning access with no emissions restrictions. FlashPro CARB Legal has a CARB EO number and it's legal for street use in all 50 states. It's got some tuning restrictions to keep it emissions-compliant. If you're street driving in California or any state with emissions testing, get the CARB Legal version. If you're racing or you're in a state with no emissions testing, get the Race version.
Dual Calibration Storage
FlashPro stores two tunes at once. You can switch between them without needing your laptop. That's useful if you've got a pump gas tune and an E85 tune, or a street tune and a race tune. You switch between tunes using the FlashPro software when it's plugged into your car.

Note: All FlashPro sales are final. FlashPro units are non-returnable because we can't verify if they've been married/locked to a vehicle. Once you flash a tune to your ECU, FlashPro locks to your ECU. You can unlock it to sell it or move it to another car, but you have to unlock it yourself through the FlashPro software. Get your car professionally tuned after you install FlashPro. Don't just load a base map and drive hard. Base maps are safe starting points, but they're not optimized for your specific car. If you're running serious modifications like a turbo, built motor, or aggressive cams, get it tuned on a dyno. Choose the right version for your use. FlashPro Race is for off-road and track use only. FlashPro CARB Legal is for street use in all 50 states.
