Hondata FlashPro - 2023+ Honda Civic Type R (FL5)
If you want to wake up your FL5 Civic Type R, the Hondata FlashPro is where you start. This plug and play tuning device connects to your laptop via USB and plugs into your OBDII port. No need to pull your ECU or send it out for a flash. You can load tunes, datalog, and monitor your turbocharged K20C1 engine right from your laptop. The FlashPro comes preloaded with a base map that adds 45 horsepower and 50 lb-ft of torque the second you flash it. If you're planning mods down the road or just want better throttle response and drivability now, this should be your first upgrade.
ECU Jailbreak Required
Before you can use FlashPro on your FL5, your factory ECU needs to be jailbroken. This process is not included with the FlashPro and has to be purchased separately from Hondata. Make sure you handle the jailbreak before ordering the FlashPro, or plan to do both at the same time.
Makes Your Bolt-Ons Actually Work
You can bolt on an intake, exhaust, and downpipe all day long, but without a proper tune you're leaving power on the table. The FlashPro gives you access to the same tuning tools that professional tuners use. You can dial in your air fuel ratios, ignition timing, boost control, and everything else your K20C1 needs to make real power. The preloaded base map gets you going immediately, and if you want more, you can have a pro tuner build you a custom map or fine tune it yourself.
Live Tuning and Datalogging
FlashPro lets you tune and datalog in real time while the engine is running. You get over 20 hours of onboard datalogging memory, so you can record everything that happens and review it later. The custom laptop gauges show you live feedback while you're driving or on the dyno. You can also store two different calibrations on the FlashPro and switch between them, which is handy if you run different fuel or want a street tune and a race tune.
